Zenith Chronomaster Sport Stainless Steel Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Month Susan G. Komen
October 10, 2023October is breast cancer awareness month and we are happy to see all types of organizations get on board to bring additional light to the impact of breast cancer and shed light on ways that people across the globe can help join the fight against it. Founded in 1982, Susan G. Komen is one of the leading organizations that raises funding to further breast cancer research in efforts to put an end to the illness. Zenith Watches has joined the the fight against breast cancer with their latest limited-edition release. In collaboration with Susan G. Komen, Zenith has launched their latest version of the Chronomaster Sport Pink. The collection is limited to 500 pieces and 20% of proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
The Zenith Chronomaster Sport is one of Zenith’s most popular collections. It is a blend of Zenith’s heritage models of the 1960s and 70s with modern upgrades, including the precision of the 1/10th of a second function. The watch is offered in a variety of colorways, usually featuring three different colored chronograph subdials.
With the Zenith Chronomaster Sport Pink, Zenith has teamed up with Susan G. Komen to deliver a an attractive (and pink) Chronomaster Sport, supporting the Komen Foundations efforts to fight breast cancer. Obviously pink has become synonymous with breast cancer awareness, and therefore any watch supporting the cause will be pink. The Chronomaster Sport features a stunning pink sunray dial that suits the watch well. The subdials of the dial are also in the same pink shade, with indices and hands in silver for legibility.
Interestingly, Zenith has opted for a steel bezel insert for this model, instead of the ceramic bezel they normally use on the Zenith Chronomaster Sport . This design decision actually looks pretty good. The steel bezel gives makes the pink dial the absolute star of the show, as it should be. The watch features a display caseback, with beautiful El Primero 3600 movement on full display. The rotor is nicely decorated, with a five-point star in the center. The watch’s chronograph functions measure and display a 1/10th of a second function, stop second mechanism, and date. This isn’t the first collaboration for Zenith and Susan G. Komen. Earlier this year Zenith released a one of a kind Chronomaster inspired from their iconic A386 model. Only one model was made which was auctioned through Phillips New York in June for $30,480 USD, with all proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen organization. Zenith has been successful with their previous editions in collaboration with Susan G. Komen, therefore their latest Zenith Chronomaster Sport Pink should do well in their continued support in the fight against breast cancer. It’s a unique colorway in their Chronomaster Spot collection with the added benefit of helping an important cause.
